CAPSTONE PROJECT: Project RAD 2.0

On November 20th, we held a one-night coffeehouse silent auction event to support the American Diabetes Association, called Project RAD 2.0. Students collaboratively worked to transform the James River Closed Commons into a comfortable setting. Performances from the night included OmniOtagO, a band with alumni from James River, and Katie Cantone, a senior at Trinity Episcopal School. The silent auctions included items ranging from a 2-day ski rental to a $20 Gelati Celesti Ice Cream gift card. The guests were greeted by hostesses and allowed to choose their own table where they met their waiter for the night. This waiter brought them their Panera Bread order as well as hot chocolate, tea and of course, coffee. At the end of the night, we were excited to have raised over $500 to support the American Diabetes Association.
