

CAPSTONE PROJECT: Project RAD 2.0
On November 20th, we held a one-night coffeehouse silent auction event to support the American Diabetes Association, called Project RAD 2.0. Students collaboratively worked to transform the James River Closed Commons into a comfortable setting. Performances from the night included OmniOtagO, a band with alumni from James River, and Katie Cantone, a senior at Trinity Episcopal School. CAPSTONE PROJECT: Playing in the Dirt
The project to renovate the butterfly gardens and greenhouse at Crestwood Elementary School was a big effort. Crestwood’s recent principal had lead an incredible movement to construct a butterfly garden spreading across campus as well as a program to raise and tag monarch butterflies. CAPSTONE PROJECT: TEDxYouth@RVA
On November 14, 2015, the second annual TEDxYouth@RVA event was held at the Oates Theater at the Collegiate School. TEDx is an independently organized TED event that is put on by local people who are dedicated to the TED motto, “ideas worth spreading”. The event was planned collaboratively between students from the Collegiate School, and Glen Allen High School, and James River seniors, Maja Gabrielson and Anna Davis.
