Confidence is Key was held on November 9,2016, at the YWCA in downtown Richmond. This Capstone was a confidence workshop for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors. The project was planned and executed by senior India Hawkins. The goal of this Capstone was to increase confidence in women. Impackt: Capstone Project
The Impackt volunteering event was held on October 29, 2016 from 9AM to 12PM. This Capstone Project, organized and led by senior Heather McDonnell, involved volunteers sorting and packing donated personal care items for the CARITAS homeless shelter in Richmond. The CARITAS organization works to help end the cycle of homelessness in the Metro Richmond area through many services and resources. The neighbors of Woodlake joined together during the month of September, which is also childhood cancer awareness month, in this fun and compassionate display that supports the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation. ASK stands for Assistance, Support, and Kindness provided to families that have a child who is dealing with cancer.
