Holiday Surprise: Capstone Project

Thinking of an idea for a Capstone can be difficult. Nichole Adams changed her idea multiple times until stumbling across the perfect one. It is important to tie your passion into the cause you want to help. In order to get the most out of your Capstone, you need to connect it with the things that make you happy. Nichole loves the Christmas season and the joy you get from kids around that time of year.

The goal of this project was to collect donations from the local community to help put on a holiday party for kindergarteners at Bellwood Elementary. She was able to raise over 100 stuffed animals, play-doh, crayons, coloring books, and many more items. Thanks to Ukrops, she got over 200 cookies donated for the holiday party. She was also able to wrap all of the coloring books so the students got an actual surprise at the party thanks to friends and family in the community. The party consisted of each kindergartner getting a coloring books, crayons, and a stuffed animal. There were multiple activities going on such as book reading, snowman tosses, pin the nose on Rudolph, Santa stack, and cooking cutting with play-doh. The overall party was a success and Nichole could not be more proud of what she accomplished. She was able to help out the Bellwood Community this Holiday season.
